We collect what we need to run accounts and keep the site safe. We don't sell your information, and we don't run advertising or analytics trackers today.
If you make an account: a username, your email address, the avatar you pick, and a password. We never store your password itself, only a one-way scrambled version of it. We also keep when the account was made, when you last signed in, and whether your email has been confirmed.
Security records: when someone signs up, signs in, or asks for a password reset, we record the type of attempt, the IP address and the time, so we can slow down guessing and abuse. We also keep a record that we sent you an email (which kind, to which address, and when).
Web server logs: like every website, our hosting records the IP address, the pages requested, your browser type and the time.
If you write to us, we keep your message and our reply.
After you sign in we set one cookie, called ppsess, that keeps you signed in. It is needed for the site to work and is cleared when you close your browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
To load the site's fonts, icons and styling, your browser fetches files from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com), the Tailwind CSS service (cdn.tailwindcss.com) and Cloudflare's cdnjs (for Font Awesome icons). Those companies can see your IP address and browser details when that happens, under their own privacy policies.
To run your account, confirm your email, reset passwords, protect the site from abuse, answer your messages, and understand how the site is working. We will email you about your account (verification, password reset). We will not send you marketing email unless you ask for it.
We don't sell your personal information. We use hosting and email systems to run the site, and we may share information if the law requires it, to protect people or the site from harm, or if the business is sold or reorganized. If we add ads, affiliate links or paid memberships later, we will update this page first and explain what changes.
We keep your account information while your account is open. Security and email records are kept as long as we need them for safety and may be deleted after that. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your account details, and we may keep limited records where the law or security requires it.
We protect passwords with one-way hashing, keep secret keys outside the public web folder, and limit who can reach the server. No site can promise perfect security, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else.
You can ask to see what we have about you, correct it, or delete your account. Email us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, and we will honor valid requests.
The site is for people 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think someone under 21 has made an account, tell us and we will remove it.
